Overview of Volunteering Efforts and Event Participation
Harvest Fest Committee
The Harvest Fest Committee plays a vital role in organizing and supporting community events. Key contributions include:

The Harvest Fest Committee is deeply committed to bringing the community together through vibrant events. Their dedication is evident in their meticulous planning of the weekend festivities, which include a lively array of craft vendors, a kid zone brimming with activities, and the exciting highlight—a performance by a nationally recognized band on Saturday evening. Demonstrating their passion for the event's success, committee members even contribute their personal funds to help sponsor and ensure the smooth execution of the celebration.

Lending equipment, including trailers and beer troughs, to other organizations and events.

Members volunteering individually in local groups such as GASA, Lions Club, and assisting with benefit rides.

With the support of the GAH and the City of Gibson, funding was secured to add an electrical panel downtown. This upgrade aims to enhance the infrastructure for hosting community events and festivals, ensuring smoother operations during celebrations and gatherings
Summer Bash
During the Summer Bash Concert, members actively aid in several tasks, such as:

Setting up the event.

Helping in the ticket bin.

Serving as bartenders in the beer tent.
Lighted Christmas Parade
The committee contributes to the festivities by helping organize and support the Lighted Christmas Parade, enhancing community holiday celebrations.
Villas of Hollybrook
Members actively engage in the following activities:

Helping with the Easter Egg Hunt for residents.

Donating money to assist with Christmas gifts for residents.
Heart of Illinois Heroes Event
This event was thoughtfully organized to honor First Responders for their efforts during major emergencies, including:

2021 Flood.

2022 and 2023 downtown fires.
Contributions included:

Volunteering time and donating items for the silent auction.

Hosting an afternoon of music, family games, and a dinner to express gratitude.
Donations and Support

Donating food items to the American Legion to support meals during the 2022 and 2023 downtown fires

Providing financial support to Gibson Area Hospital (GAH) for the CT Scan initiative.

Donations to GASA to assist with the cost of the soccer field project.

Assisting the American Legion by providing fencing and other items for concerts and events. Donating toys and other items for their Christmas Basket.

Organized fundraising eorts for members of our community. Donating back Friday night ticket sales to help a community member with medical expenses.
